    Mark Amerika, a professor of digital art at the University of Colorado, has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Bremen's Department of Informatiks, an International Research Fellow and Visiting Artist at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, an Artist-In-Residence in the Honor's Programme at the National University of Singapore's Cyberarts / Cyberculture Research Initiative, and Senior Research Fellow at the trAce "Writers for the Future" TEXTlab project at Nottingham-Trent University. In the summer of 2004, he was one of the featured artists at the California State University Summer Arts Festival. In November 2004, he will have his fourth international retrospective exhibition at the Gallerie de Art do SESI in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

    Mark Amerika is continuing to create a series of DVD with surround sound works entitled CODEWORK. The first in the series of CODEWORK DVDs, which grows out of Amerika's international VJ performances in Japan, Europe, and the USA, was recently acquired by the Denver Art Museum where it was on exhibit throughout the summer of 2004. Another collaborative DVD project Amerika is involved in is entitled Society of the Spectacle (A Digital Remix). "SOS" is the latest work from the digital art and writing collective DJRABBI and will be on solo exhibition at the Openbare Bibliotheek Art Space in Eindhoven, Holland. Amerika's last net art work, FILMTEXT 2.0, has been exhibited in many international venues including transmediale 2004 in Berlin and in his retrospective exhibition at Ciber@rt Bilbao 2004.
