    Susan Hasan is currently Curator of New Media and Head of the Internet Office at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem (since 1992), identifying, and implementing electronic architectures for the gallery, and outreach programs. Her Masters, and PhD research at Goldsmiths College, University of London in Media and Communications focuses on electronic architectures in the contemporary museum. Hazan has published numerous publications on new media in education, art, and museums and regularly presents at international conferences. In 2002-2003 was visiting lecturer at both the Media and Communications and Computing Department at Goldsmiths, University of London teaching Web Design, Critical E-Museology, and Digital Media, with an emphasis on the correlation between cultural theory and contemporary practice. She is currently developing a comprehensive exhibition of digital art at the Israel Museum setting up a dialogue of the encyclopaedic, permanent collections across the museum campus with art born digital (http://www.imj.org.il).

    As the representative of EVA in Israel (http://www.eva-conferences.com), Hazan is currently the World Summit Award (WSA) coordinator in Israel and is responsible for the eight national contests that cover e-Learning, e-Culture, e-Science, e-Government, e-Health, e-Business, e-Entertainment, and e-Inclusion (http://www.wsis-award.org). The contests winners will be submitted as the Israel selections for the global contest which will take place at WSIS conference in Tunisia November 2005. Hazan has been a member of the Museums and the Web - Program Committee since 2001, and is currently on the ISEA Interactive City Jury, InterSociety for Electronic Arts Symposium to be held in San Jose, California, USA in August 2006 and a member of the program committee for Virtual Systems and MultiMedia to Europe (VSMM2005).
