Gee, what a silence! for days...

Was it something i said? (i highly doubt it, but the last 3 postings were mine...)

What happened? No one has any time any more? I sure don't but i do pop in once a day, and it's sad to watch nothing has changed for days...

Have we determined in the end what net art is and what it isn't?

Ansgard, have you convinced people that a single image is net art?

Andrey V., what about those conceptions, art and philosophy? Your post was very interesting, I read it with pleasure. But what you did when you just criticised without offering a seed of any such discussion... well i don't know if you did anything, but i wanted to quote you anyway
Actually, you did nothing, so maybe it's time now to do something - like using this calm to start a topic more sensible in your opinion, i am sure it will be interesting, you seem a sensible guy...

Philip Wood, the man of verse, did your crappy machine finally crash for good?

Eduardo Navas, how's your short list going?

And why isn't anyone else posting their votes? I mean, i understand that not everyone will feel inclined to, maybe even not a majority, but _no_one_ out of almost 70 people?!?

I know first-hand that our hosts would love it... and i can understand why

Gee, i wish i could buy a drink for everyone...

Waiter...!!!

Gin and tonic over this way too!

BTW, besides language issues, I'd like to add (and this is not a criticism, but more of a comment on the lack of participation in this forum) that the software used for this online discussion doesn't make for fast reading. I'd love to see all the comments from one thread displayed at once so I could read everyone's comments more as a dialogue.

  no time
and too much time
whilst moving house
and doing cheap commercial work...

I am off the drink for a while
but I am open to persuasion
and once persuaded
it is quantity rather than quality that counts
in the quest for oblivion... burp

Eboire!!!

my machines are still just about functional
but very slow compared to current models
and I am still on a modem connection
so viewing the work is difficult...

don't want to talk about art
or anything else
because it's all connected up
and it's all too depressing
without a few drinks first
to get anaesthetised... 80P

CHEERS to all who like to express themselves .
thanks for asking me if I was able to convince this group that a single picture
is net art?
as a cyberartist for the last 4 years I have seen people come and go on the internet with new images ,new ,new ,new art latest nonsense and very bad art.
it is indeed very interesting the we artists are even lumped in with adult
entertainement .
Yeah ,my favorite drink is gin and tonic please
:p

I have been looking at work during the last few days, while checking the board. I really think others on the list should start writing besides the people who initially jumpstarted the postings. It is starting to become a bit too incestuous.

it's a bit like getting stuck near the door at a big party. where is everybody? maybe another email should be sent reminding participants about the forum? I have taken some time to look at the work again too. I think the discussions here are really helping me select my 7. Too bad more people aren't participating.

ok, i'm one of those late arrivals to the party... i've been reading the posts, but have been in a state of chaos since arriving back in england last week (no telephone line, never mind fast internet connection)

it's great to see the wide range of works here - i'm not sure which pieces i'll select yet... still going through them all.

Sorry for my late entrance into the discussion -- recently moved, and my wife is 9 mos. pregnant. I'll post again soon, after I have had time to think about the best way to "judge" these works....
